Terms for VettaVerify driver check-in text messages

These terms describe the text messages VETTA VERIFY LLC ("VettaVerify," "we," or "us") sends to truck drivers on behalf of freight brokers that use the VettaVerify platform.

1. Program

Program name: VettaVerify driver check-in texts. These are transactional texts that ask a driver to check in for a load they are hauling, or to verify their identity for a carrier. Texts are sent from the toll-free number +1 (877) 318-3882.

2. Who Receives Texts and How They Opt In

Texts go only to truck drivers. We do not collect driver phone numbers through a public sign-up form, and we do not buy or rent phone number lists.

  • The carrier's dispatcher gives the driver's mobile number to the freight broker, either for a specific load (load check-in) or so the broker can confirm who is driving for the carrier (identity check).
  • Before a text can be sent, the broker must tick a consent box on the send form confirming that the carrier gave them the number and the driver agreed to get the text. The box is unchecked by default, the Send button stays disabled until it is ticked, and our servers reject a send without it. The consent is recorded before the text is sent, and a resend is only allowed when that record exists.
  • Each text names the broker (a check-in text also names the load) and tells the driver how to opt out and get help.

3. Message Types

There are two kinds of text. Each contains a single secure link for that request.

Load check-in

Asks the driver to share their location and a photo of the vehicle's VIN for a load.

Identity check

Asks the driver to share their location and a photo of their driver's licence so the broker can confirm who is driving for the carrier.

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. A driver typically gets one text per load check-in or identity check the broker requests, and the broker may send it again if the first did not arrive. We send no more than 5 texts to any one mobile number in 24 hours.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. VettaVerify does not charge drivers for these texts.

6. Opting Out and Getting Help

  • Reply STOP to any text to opt out. You will get one confirmation text and no further texts from this number.
  • Reply HELP to any text for help, or email support@vettaverify.com.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. (Here, "carriers" means mobile phone carriers, not motor carriers.)

7. No Marketing

This program sends transactional texts only. We never send marketing or promotional texts under it.

8. Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

How we handle driver data, including location and photos shared through a check-in, is described in our Privacy Policy. Use of the VettaVerify platform is governed by our Terms of Service.
