What is VettaVerify?
VettaVerify is a carrier verification platform used by freight brokers to streamline carrier onboarding. It pulls data from the FMCSA, verifies insurance and safety records, and helps brokers and carriers build trusted business relationships faster.
Why did I receive this email?
A freight broker you work with (or want to work with) invited you to verify your carrier information on VettaVerify. This is a standard part of the broker-carrier onboarding process, similar to filling out a carrier packet.
Is this a scam?
No. VettaVerify is a legitimate business used by freight brokers across the US. The invitation email includes the name of the broker who invited you. If you are unsure, contact the broker directly to confirm they sent the invitation. VettaVerify will never ask for payment information, bank account numbers, or passwords via email.
What information will be shared?
VettaVerify shares your publicly available FMCSA data (authority status, safety ratings, insurance on file) with the broker who invited you. During onboarding, you can also share your insurance certificates, ELD connection for real-time tracking, and driver/equipment details. You control what you share.
How does this benefit my carrier business?
Completing verification on VettaVerify means you only need to onboard once. Your verified profile can be shared with multiple brokers, saving you from filling out carrier packets repeatedly. Brokers using VettaVerify are more likely to assign loads to verified carriers because they have confidence in your safety and compliance records.
Is there a cost to me?
No. VettaVerify is free for carriers. Brokers pay for the platform. There is no cost to register, complete onboarding, or maintain your carrier profile.
How do I get started?
Click the "Register & Connect" button in the invitation email you received. You will verify your identity using the email address on file with the FMCSA, then complete a short onboarding process to set up your carrier profile.
